Según Ana Teresa Ramírez Valdés, directora de Latino Donor Collaborative, hay 38 millones de personas de origen mexicano en EE.UU., de las cuales 34 millones son residentes o ciudadanos. El PIB de estas personas asciende a 2.06 billones de dólares, lo que las posicionaría como la décima economía más grande del mundo si fueran independientes.
