Mauricio Gutierrez is an energy executive, investor and public company director. He served as President and CEO of NRG Energy, a fortune 200 integrated energy company, from 2015 to 2023. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer and head of commercial operations overseeing all commodities trading. He currently serves on the board of Chipotle Mexican Grill and several nonprofit organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and master’s degrees in Mineral Economics and Petroleum Economics.
