Latino representation on screen is vastly lower than in the general population — we’re talking about a community that is about one in five Americans getting less than 3.5% of leading roles, ensemble parts, or roles as showrunners and directors this year, and yet, according to a recent report by The Latino Donor Collaborative (LDC), the U.S. Latino audience “brings 20 to 30% of the entertainment industry’s revenue,” depending on the platform, and “more than 50% of the growth.”
